  • Historians consider the first touchscreen to be a capacitive touchscreen invented by E.A. Johnson in the UK around 1965. The inventorinitially developed this technology for air traffic control.

  • Some disadvantages are that the user must be within arms reach of the display, it would be difficult to select small items.
  • It can caused you to feel a little electric shocks if you touch the screen with your wet fingers.
